Apponaug Animal Hospital is proud to provide the highest quality health care for your dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig or pocket pet.
Our services include:

Dr. Mary Beth Armstrong
After graduating from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999, Dr. Armstrong completed an externship in internal medicine and surgery at Bath Brunswick Veterinary Hospital in Maine. She has been practicing in Rhode Island since 2002 and is a member of the Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association. While soft tissue surgery has always been a special interest, Dr. Armstrong was further educated in the special surgical techniques of high quality, high volume spay and neuter which has increased her surgical skills.

Dr. Lisa Connor
Dr. Connor joined the AAH team early in the fall of 2020 after studying at the Chi Institute for her Certified Veterinary Acupuncture certification. Born and raised in Southeastern Massachusetts, Dr. Lisa initially obtained her business degree and held several successful administrative roles in the fields of venture capital, emergency medical transportation, and general health care. After the tragic events of 9/11, she decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. In 2004, she moved to Rhode Island and enrolled the following year into the University of Rhode Island's veterinary medicine program.
Dr. Connor obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College of Prince Edward Island, Canada. She initially worked with companion animals and horses. She has particular interest in veterinary nutrition, dental prophylaxis, and alternative therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractics and laser therapy. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys time at home on her family farm with their Great Pyrenees dogs, three cats, and three horses. Dr. Connor is an active member of the Great Pyrenees Club of America and enjoys attending local and regional AKC dog shows. She also enjoys gardening and culinary arts.

At Apponaug Animal Hospital our pets are our family and we treat our patients with your family in mind. Our goal is to provide comprehensive medical services for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and pocket pets.
